19 week Update
My 19 week appointment was Tuesday July 26th. I was very nervous because my at home "lying" scale told me I was getting WAY too big too quick. My womanly denial just stuck with the fact that the scale was definitely broken. My appointment started with the fantastic weigh-in. I stepped on, saw the number, almost fainted, and said to the nurse...."How bad is it?" She looked at my chart, and goes...."OH MY!!! You gained 9 pounds in 4 weeks!" Well, now I'm completely mortified. Weight was never truly a real issue for me, and putting this weight on just feels so wrong, even though I know it's fine. When the Doctor came in he asked how I was feeling and of course my response was "FAT." He looked at my chart and said, your fine. I told him, "I GAINED 9 POUNDS IN ONE MONTH!" He tried, as best men can do, to make me feel better. My last appointment I had only gained one pound in the month so he claims I had to "catch up." I'm not really buying it but I'm going with it for a sense of sanity. I am on target for total weight loss from Day one, but if I keep this 9 pound amonth thing going, Ill have gained over 50 pounds total, which I refuse to let happen. I eat well, and exercise, but need to exercise some more. I need more frequent walks, swimming and I need to start my prenatal yoga dvd. It all sounds good until the time comes to do it and my wobbly butt would rather do anything else! I had a quick ultrasound since our anatomy scan is this wednesday, and baby was measuring right on target around 19 weeks or so. He of course had his legs squished close so my Dr. couldn't see his goods, but he said we will see them on wednesday at the big scan. Ryan took of work and Wednesday will be the first time he gets to see a GOOD u/s. I am still feeling great, aside from horrific heartburn. Sleeping has begun to SUCK, but my new SNOOGLE pillow is currently being broken in.
