It is no surprise. Lucas' daycare is heaven on earth. It took us a horrific experience(s) to get there but man was it worth it. The place is like a well oiled piece of machinery infused with little angels that float around and love and obsess over your child. The things he learns and love he gets is amazing. Not to mention the 2-2.5 hour naps that we can't do at home!!! Summer is approaching. We have one more payment till September. Summer isn't an option to send him even two days because they want my right arm and leg. Here are a few pictures they send throughout the day. The last one is when he fell asleep eating for the first time. He has to eat separately due to his food allergies. Typically the other kids use those chairs without the tray and eat at the table. He has a little tray and is a but off to the side sometimes. Other times his chair is next to the kids but he's been food snatching so he's had to be a bit farther away lately.

Lucas' New Ride
A new hitch on our Jeep, a new Thule bike rack and a Topeak seat for Lucas complete with a cool shark helmet. It's heaven. Some recent warm weather and we are all in love. We've done a few local rides and also one on the bike trail in Manasquan. LUCAS LOOOOOOOVES riding.
Tim and Viv's wedding celebration 4/6/13
Since Tim and Viv were married in Mexico, they had a celebration here for the family. Lucas had a blast running up and down the stairs and seeing all his relatives.

Bad Blogger
I think it's common. One returns to work and forgets how to manage time. Lucas is 14 months old. Feels like there isn't enough space to fill in the gap.
Here's a run down. He was fully walking by 10 months. He says mama, dada, dog, that, yea, duck, hi and thank you. He waves, shakes his head no and signs more, eat, please, ball and all done.
I refuse to type that he STTN so let's just say sleep has improved ;)
He naps once a day for two hours and his daycare (new one) is off the charts amazing. He turned one (obviously) and he gives my kisses, hugs and snuggles like he must to breathe. He kisses all his animals and likes to hide.
He's better in the car and he is obsessed with his dada. He looks like me now yet some beg to differ. He might be the coolest kid I know.

Tubes
March 1, 2013 hopefully was the start of a healthy Lucas. Tubes are in. My fingers are crossed. I'm over a sick baby every other week. Hopefully this happy, silly, hilarious, mischievous and insane baby/toddler can finally be pain free!

Four steps
I must document this! Lucas all week has been taking 3-4 unassisted steps. He stands alone for at least a minute at a time and is now consistently trying to walk. My little guy looks like a little baby toddler!!!
Coxsackie
Again. Really? Poor guy. Fever and the beginnings of an ear infection to top it all off. It was the first time daycare called me at work to come get him. It made me even hate more the fact that I work 45-50 minutes from home. We are praying its a mild case.

Walker Time!
Lucas tried to multitask. He attempted to use the walker and chew on it at the same time. This led to him walking funny. The walker also moves too fast for him but he tries!!

I suck
I know. I lied. I am trying to get ready to return to work. I am sad. Lucas is sick with a cold. Again. He cut a top tooth. He only wants mama. Did I mention returning to work? I realized this earlier today:
When Lucas is happy, when he smiles, plays and giggles, I am overwhelmed with contentment.

My to "write" list
Things I want to post but can't seem to find enough time to write. I am giving myself one day per post to catchup. Here's a list so I don't forget one:
1. Why I need a new Pediatrcian
2. Lucas Sick
3. Freezer meal work plan
4. Why I want to move
5. My go to MSPI foods/brands
6. Cloth diapering, favorite diapers
7. Ron and Sue's visit
8. Lucas' food love/hate relationship
9. Ferber. I love him. A lot.
I say this post counts for today. I will try for one more later. Of course I have to add a picture or two!

7 months
What a month. It has truly been a month of milestones and growth. Definitely not weight wise as he is still 19.5 pounds. Maybe he is longer but he definitely seems leaner.
Lucas perfected his speedy crawl and even will crawl with one leg "walking". He pulls himself to standing and holds on with one hand. He cruises the furniture slowly but I'm sure that will speed up sooner than later! He thinks he can walk so he let's go and attempts to step but falls.
He loves exploring the house an prefers anything that's not a toy. Pots, pans, wood spoons, shoelaces, flip flops, straps, and wires (we hide them beat we can but always having to remove him from an area). He loves the plug for the breast pump and he loves the baseboard heating metal (he flicks it so it vibrates). He laughs so hard and even makes this squeal noise that's hilarious. He sucks his top lip and also has this huge closed mouth smile. He always has to make sure someone is watching him while he does his tricks.
Most of his younger toys are gone so there is more room in our house! His swing is still here and he still naps in it. His naps are for the most part longer and it's easier to get him down. I figure daycare can get him to crib nap next month.
Sleep. Separate post for that. He was ferbered. He now sleeps in his crib 100% of the night. He sleeps a combined 10.5 hrs and wakes 1-2 times with minimal crying if any. I nurse 1-2 times. HUGE improvement. He used to sleep a combined 6-7 hrs and wake 4-6 times and nurse 4-6 times. He also barely slept in crib and spent most night in our bed. Best part is he still loves me :)
I am dreading daycare. I am scared I won't be able to keep up with pumping. I'm scared he will love his teacher more than me. Scared he will cry inconsolably when I leave. Scared that he will always be sick. I know he will love it. Ha!
I have to redo his pics bc I did them first thing in the morning and he looks super sleepy!
