32 weeks.....8 to go! I had my OB appointment today and it was very comical. They rushed me into the exam room, where I found out he had a patient in labor......so he was rushing. The nurse weighed me and I asked her to remove 2 pounds from the number. She was like, "WHY?" I said because the new grandma panties I bought MUST weigh at least 2 pounds! She was cracking up but I was dead serious. One thing I cannot wait to go back to is regular, girly underwear! I am at the point where comfort is WAY more important. So I only gained a pound since my last appt which is GREAT for me. I have really been trying to only eat healthy foods and mostly unprocessed stuff. I even gave away the yummy pumpkin cupcakes I made. So my doctor come in, and asks how I'm feeling. I said great, still having all day long braxton hicks, but no pain. I told him sometimes I feel like he is going to "fall out." He checked me belly and said he is still head down, and VERY low. I can honestly say I'm not sure I'm going to "drop" unless within the next week or so I actually "rise!" He said my weight was good, babies heart rate was steady at 140 and my belly size was perfect. Nice to hear! Then he asked....AGAIN....if I would be 35 before I delivered. I told him, yes and he goes, "Oh, well then you now need to come in weekly for monitoring." Turns out I will now go weekly for NST tests (non-stress test) to make sure the baby isn't stressed due to my "advanced" maternal age........sounds so horrible! I am not THAT old!!!! Anyway, it was a shock to me to start weekly appt's so soon but better safe than sorry! I got my flu shot last, and was on my way.
