Holy Belly Button Pain

Who knew a belly button could hurt so bad. Mine is quite interesting. I always had an innie....normal looking, fairly nice looking button. It is now 1/2 out....yes that is right. The top half has ballooned out and the bottom still hold on for dear life. Aside from the look of it, the pain is crazy. I am so sore all around it. I have become obsessed with rubbing it, which hurts, yet I can't stop. If I press in gently on the left side only, it hurts most. From what I have read it could be stretching or the baby pushing against it. My braxton hicks contractions have moved up to the surrounding belly button area so I guess it all makes sense. I still look at my belly in awe that a real looking baby lives inside there. I am also amazed at how close we are to meeting this little guy. I just put in my paperwork for my maternity leave and pray that all goes well. Now, if only I could win the lotto.................
