Run...run...run......keep running

So Mr. fitness decided about 10 weeks ago that he needed to change up his workouts, and revamp his goals. Therefore, he will be running his very first Marathon on October 15th in Baltimore. We/He has been training and just completed his 10th week of runs. For years he ran 6 days a week for about 4 miles a day. Now, he runs Tues/Wed/Thurs/Sat. Wednesday and Saturdays are his long runs which I bike behind him.....call me the "carrier of water." I serve no other purpose but to quench his thrist, and on hot occassions provide his change of clothing, which then means I get to add more weight to my already heavy basket with his WET nasty smelly shirts. One Saturday a few weeks ago it was 89 at 5:30am and he changed his shirt 3 times. Yes, I did say 5:30am.....it has been SOOOO hot lately that we have to wake up anywhere from 4:45am to 5:45am to get out and done before the heat really gets bad. It is good exercise for me, although my rear-end says otherwise. The thing I have to say above all is that I truly truly admire Ryan, more than I think he knows. When he wants to do something, he does it. He has not skipped ONE day. On his non running days he is at the gym. I watched him run 15 miles this morning in awe.....my butt was aching, legs were crampy, i had to pee often and he just chugged along, running form Asbury Park, through Allenhurst, through Deal, through Long Branch, right into Monmouth Beach and ALLLLLLLLL the way back home. It truly amazes me........and when he finishes his long runs, I always make sure to tell him how amazing he is, and how I am so proud of his determination. It is a quality I often lack, and pray that my baby boy has that quality, which obviously will come from Ryan.
